Re: Has everyone forgot about Baseball playoffs?

Lot of emotion here at my house: See, I have loved the Motor City Kitties since way back when Sparky managed them. I loved them back when we watched em lose 100 a year, but Cecil left the yard (alot like my National League team when Murph was the man). These guys have lost 400 games in the previous 4 years. Jim Leyland for President!

    THERE IT IS!!!!!!!!

    Party at my place

Detroit is going to the WORLD SERIES!!!!!

I agree about Leyland,, not many roster changes with Detroit,, Leyland has made difference in my opinion....anyone remember AL Kaline? Norm Cash? Jim Bunning?

Who would have ever imagined it? Detroit Tigers: American League Champions-a dream come true for me (funny how sports can getcha misty-eyed sometimes-why it is so wonderful). I have always thought so much of Leyland. He is an awesome mix of tough and kind.

Re: Has everyone forgot about Baseball playoffs?

Remember when we gave up a young kid no-name to Atlanta just to get crafty Doyle Alexander? Alexander did his job-gave us that title in 84, but what a price we paid: What was that kid's name? Oh yeah-John Smoltz (at least he went to my other team).

What a reward for the folks in Detroit, one of the great baseball towns. Even in the terrible times, the fans never left. Boys this Bud's for you

Re: Has everyone forgot about Baseball playoffs?

Who right now would liked to have placed $100 on the Tigers winning the World Series at the first of the year with some Vegas odds?

Who would have thought that it's possible the Red Sox, White Sox, and the Tigers become World Champs for the last 3 years.
